About Dr. Patel

Dr. Patel grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and earned a degree in Chemistry from Loyola University Chicago. He completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Barry University in Miami and received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale in 2002.

After a rotating internship in Florida, Dr. Patel completed an anesthesiology residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. During his training, he received Intern of the Year and Resident of the Year honors and served as Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Michigan in 2007.

As a co-founder of Pain & Spine Institute, Dr. Patel focuses on interventional approaches to persistent and complex pain conditions.
