Manual and Movement-Based Musculoskeletal Care
Chiropractic care focuses on the musculoskeletal system and often includes manual therapy. Depending on the patient and diagnosis, care may also include exercise, mobility work, posture or activity guidance, and progress monitoring.
The approach should be selected after a health history and examination, with referral or co-management when symptoms require medical evaluation or another type of care.
Response is reassessed over time, and care can be coordinated with physical therapy, pain management, primary care, or another specialist when appropriate.
Choose Techniques for the Individual
The clinician reviews the symptom pattern, neurologic findings, medical history, comfort, and treatment goals before selecting a manual or movement-based approach.
Why It May Be Considered
Selected back, neck, or other musculoskeletal pain
Stiffness or movement limitations
A condition appropriate for manual or exercise-based care
